I photographed a home that Laura Wilmerding Interiors had recently work on in Newton. She has incorporated the furnishings into the home perfectly and created light and elegant spaces that each have their own distinct feel.
The main living room space was perfectly lit by the large windows that overlooked the garden outside. When photographing this room – as well as the others – I worked closely with Laura to make sure that we had all the key elements in the right places just as she had envisioned. It is important with architectural and interior photography to first look at the room or space and see what will work best within the frame. The correct camera location can go a long way to showing all the potential that a location and room have to offer.
The second room of the house was the dining room, which had a very pleasant modern and minimalistic feel to it with clean lines throughout. The colors and choice of furniture complimented each other perfectly and again using natural light for most of the scene worked really well here.
The final space was a smaller lounge area that had another unique feel to it. Clean lines with bold splashes of color made the room cozy and modern, and the comfortable furnishings made it a great place for an after dinner cocktail.
